Is Homeschooling for you?

Like more and more parents each day, you have probably begun wondering... Should I homeschool my children?

This is a hard question and one that you may have never thought you would be asking. The reasons you are now asking yourself this question, vary:

• You may have read stories about how second graders in New York have to learn about AIDS and HIV as part of their curriculum. To all of us who are parents and don't have any political agendas, it is obvious that a child that age cannot process that kind of information. None of the parents were surprised to hear about the little girl who came home crying and told her mother she was going to die because she had kissed another little girl. Yet, all of those parents were unable to do anything to make them stop.
• You may just be aware of the statistics that show the complete failure of our public school system to deliver a good education.
• You may not want your child in a public school and yet you cannot afford some of the outrageous tuition costs of private schools.
• You may have personal and religious beliefs that cannot be respected or nurtured in a public school enviroment.
• It could also be that your child is already in a public school environment and is being threatened or bullied by other classmates. While the school administration is unable or unwilling to help.
• It could also be that the public schools in your area are simply dangerous. There is an incredible number of schools that have installed metal detectors.
• Your child may have special learning needs that a teacher with 30 other students cannot address.
• It could also be that you know that learning is an incredible journey and this is something you want to share and enjoy with your children. You know that no one will nurture and guide them the way that you will.

The reasons can go on and on...
